VUMC Users OneVU FAQs

  • I am a VUMC user—how do I log into OneVU powered by Okta?

If you’re a Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) user accessing a Vanderbilt University application through OneVU, you should log in using your VUMC email address (e.g., firstname.lastname@vumc.org).

Once you enter your VUMC email, you’ll be directed to the appropriate login experience based on your account. Just follow the on-screen prompts to complete authentication.

  • What applications am I allowed to access?

As a VUMC user, you may have access to specific Vanderbilt University applications based on your job responsibilities and role.

    • The application administrator (for application-specific issues), or
  • I’m receiving a message that says I’m unauthorized or don’t have access—what should I do?

This message typically means your VUMC account has not been provisioned for access. In this case, please:

    • Contact the application administrator for access verification and provisioning, or
    • Reach out to the VUMC Help Desk for support.

Please note: Vanderbilt University support teams cannot assist with access issues for VUMC users. All VUMC-related access must be managed through VUMC support channels.

  • What is Dual Idenity?
