External speakers set for CSB/CAIPD symposium

The Vanderbilt Center for Structural Biology and the Center for Applied AI in Protein Dynamics invite you to Bridging Atoms and Algorithms: A Symposium on AI and Structural Biology. The symposium promises exciting research, collaboration and networking that navigates the intersection of AI and Structural Biology on Tuesday and Wednesday, March 17–18, 2026, on the campus of Vanderbilt University.
The external speakers are preeminent scientists engaged in cutting-edge research that focuses on cryo-electron tomography (cryo-ET), mass spectrometry, correlative light and electron microscopy (CLEM), machine learning and computational techniques to investigate the structure, function and dynamics of complex biological systems.
The keynote will be presented by Rommie Amaro, UC San Diego; with research talks from Joey Davis, MIT; Danielle Grotjahn, Scripps Research; and Greg Bowman, Penn. The program also includes workshops, Vanderbilt faculty and trainee talks, a poster flash and then wraps up with a reception and poster session putting the spotlight on the important research being performed in the various CSB and CAIPD labs.
Registration opens soon, so visit the symposium website for updates until then!
