Brightspace Content is Getting Upgraded
Beginning with the Fall 2027 semester, Brightspace courses will begin using the New Content Experience by default. Additionally, Instructors now have the ability to enable or disable the New Content Experience in their own courses ahead of the change in Fall 2027. Typically, there is no need to turn off tools in your Brightspace course. In fact, turning off one tool may affect another tool you are using. We recommend customizing your Navigation Bar (NavBar) if you wish to make a tool unavailable to students.
When it is necessary to turn off a tool, follow the steps below.

How to disable specific Course Tools.
1. Click the Course Admin tab in the navbar.
2. Click Tools under the Administration section.
3. Go through the list and change the status to Off.
