Geographic variation in cardiac rehabilitation access
Director: Dr. Justin Bachmann, School of Medicine
About
Cardiac rehabilitation, a program of supervised exercise, dietary counseling and cardiovascular risk factor management, is an essential therapy for patients with cardiovascular disease. There is significant geographic variation in cardiac rehabilitation use in the United States. This project seeks to characterize the etiology of that variation.
Cardiac Rehabilitation Access
Research Goal: Characterize access to cardiac rehabilitation centers in the United States.
Methods: This project will utilize a variety of geospatial mapping techniques to evaluate the association of access to cardiac rehabilitation with cardiac rehabilitation participation.
