Margaret Mullins

Margaret Mullins is the Director of Public Options and Governance at the Vanderbilt Policy Accelerator. Prior to joining VPA, she served in the Biden-Harris administration as a senior advisor to the Deputy Secretary of Defense and as senior advisor for national security to the Chair of the Export Import Bank. Margaret also served in the U.S. Senate for four years, including as National Security Advisor to Senator Raphael Warnock and Military Legislative Assistant to Senator Michael Bennet. Earlier in her career, Margaret served as an intelligence officer in the U.S. Army and deployed to Afghanistan. Margaret has a BSFS from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service, an MPA from Princeton University’s School of Public and International Affairs, and a JD from Georgetown University Law Center.
