Charlotte Ducuing

Charlotte Ducuing is a post-doctoral researcher at the Centre for IT and IP law of the KU Leuven (CiTiP) in Belgium, Europe and a non-residential fellow at the Vanderbilt Policy Accelerator. She conducts her research on the regulation of Big Tech in Europe as public utilities. Before that, she worked on various research projects at the intersection of law and technology, including on how European Union’s law navigates between data markets and personal data protection. Her research interests notably extend to NPU law and the role of technology therein, risk-based regulation, commodification studies. Before joining CiTiP, she worked as in-house lawyer in the Belgian railways. She graduated (cum laude) in both political sciences and law in France (Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Lille, Université de Lille) and she followed an advanced master on Intellectual Property and ICT law at the KU Leuven, Belgium (cum laude).
