About the Summit

Vanderbilt University invites you to attend the Mid-South Innovation Summit, hosted by the Wond’ry, the Vanderbilt Innovation Council (VIC), and several student organizations including Vanderbilt Innovation and Entrepreneurship Society (VINES), Change++, Vandy Blockchain, and Theta Tau. The event will include a Startup Job fair, in which students can find an internship or full-time position at an impactful start-up, followed by a Venture Showcase to display the incredible ideas, efforts and accomplishments within the greater Nashville area and beyond. During the event, a momentous ceremony will ignite the birth of the NSF I-corps Mid-South HUB, an entrepreneurial institution to support academic commercialization, economic growth, and shared prosperity. Students and community members can register for either the Job Fair and the Venture Showcase below. Come learn and explore what the entrepreneurial community has to offer!

Do you have an idea or venture that you want to broadcast to potential collaborators, mentors, and investors? During this showcase, ventures and established ideas will have the opportunity to share their business with not only the Vanderbilt and Nashville community, but also the Mid-south NSF I-corps HUB partners! Are you a start-up company looking to hire an intern or your next team-member to help your business reach the next level? At the Summit, start-ups will have the opportunity to connect with ambitious undergraduate and graduate students looking to work at an impactful startup like yours! We encourage you to stay for the Venture Showcase as well to connect with regional stakeholders. Marshal Volunteer Opportunity

Be dubbed a Marshal for the Job Fair, Showcase, and Convocation to get access to a behind-the-scenes experience of the Mid-South Summit. You will get to meet Hub and community partners and play an active role in ushering in a new era of inclusive innovation. We ask Marshals to be available from 2-9pm to allow for training. Marshals will receive dinner and a coveted Wond’ry t-shirt!
