Campus Residents

Please ensure your room windows are closed and latched. Do not open windows if your room overheats, as this may result in broken pipes or other facilities damage. Submit a ReADY Request if you experience heating issues. For emergency or after-hours facilities concerns, call 615-343-9675.

Facilities

Facilities Staff have treated campus sidewalks and roadways; however, limbs and debris are currently falling faster than they can be cleared. Because conditions remain hazardous, students, faculty, staff, and community members are strongly advised to navigate campus only if absolutely necessary. Snow removal and ice melt application will resume on Monday, January 26.

If You Must Navigate Campus

  • Use primary sidewalks or roadways.
  • Remain highly aware of your surroundings.
  • Avoid walking under trees whenever possible.

Please use caution when navigating campus and surrounding areas. If you experience hazardous conditions, submit a ReADY ticket using the Grounds tile. For emergency requests, call Building Systems Control (BSC) at 615-322-2621.

Safety Tips

  • Limit your time outdoors when possible. If you must be outside, dress in layers and take breaks in warm spaces.
  • Use caution when navigating campus and surrounding areas, as sidewalks and roadways may be slippery and ice accumulation could result in falling tree branches.
  • If possible, ensure you have enough food, medications, and other essentials in case weather conditions limit travel.
  • Continue to monitor local weather updates. Additional safety information is available on the University’s Emergency Preparedness website.
