    Create an eRA Commons Account

    The Signing Official (SO) at the organization can establish additional user accounts with varying degrees of access and capability depending on roles and responsibilities. If you or someone else needs an account, then please request one at the link below.  Include name, title, email address, current Commons ID (if transferring from another institution), and role requested.  Review roles here and choose the one that most reflects your job duties.

    Request an eRA Commons account by emailing spa@vanderbilt.edu and include:

    1. Name
    2. Title
    3. Email address
    4. Current Commons ID (if transferring form another institution)
    5. Role requested

    NIH Grants Policy Statement (NIHGPS)

    The NIHGPS is a comprehensive document that consolidates the policy requirements and standard terms and conditions for NIH grant awards.

    Proposal and Award Policies and Procedures Guide (PAPPG) 

    The PAPPG contains policies and guidance relating to the Foundation's proposal and award process for the assistance programs of NSF. The PAPPG, in conjunction with NSF's Grant General Conditions, serves as the Foundation's implementation of 2 CFR § 200,  Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards.

    ProposalCentral

    ProposalCentral is an online grants management system that helps researchers find, apply for, and manage grants from non-profit and government organizations, and it helps these organizations manage their entire grant lifecycle, from application to post-award reporting.

    GRANTS.GOV

    GRANTS.GOV is an official government website designed as a central location for grantees to find funding opportunities and submit grant applications to federal agencies. Campus users create a personal account via the grants.gov homepage and associate with the university before having their role(s) confirmed by SPA.

    EBRAP (DOD)

    The DOD's Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs EBRAP System allows PIs to submit pre-applications electronically through a secure connection and view and edit the contents of their pre-applications and full applications, as submitted through Grants.gov. PIs who need to review a submission register for a personal account via the eBRAP homepage and request affiliation with Vanderbilt University.

    Portfolio Analysis and Management System (PAMS) (DOE)

    PAMS (DOE) is a web-based system employed by the DOE Office of Science for a variety of proposal submission and award management tasks, including LOIs, Budget Revisions, Award Modification Requests, and post-award reporting. Users who require access must create a personal account via the PAMS website and associate their account with the university. SPA must then approve the request and grant access for each record individually. Please contact SPA for more information.

    NSPIRES (NASA)

    NSPIRES (NASA) is web-based system that supports the entire lifecycle of NASA research solicitations and awards but is primarily used by SPA for proposal submissions. University employees must register for a personal account and request affiliation with the university, which will be reviewed and approved by SPA.

    G5 (DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION (INSTITUTE OF EDUCATION SCIENCES, IES)

    G5 is the system used for post-award functions related to Department of Education grants.  SPA has limited access to information in this system (only award documents) and most functions require the PI to access their account.
