In this Women’s History Month program, we will explore the concept of purity culture in the black Church and its effects on black women and black people. How are these ideals helpful? How does or may it cause harm? Join us for a presentation and open conversation about what it means to take agency over yourself and making choices that best fit you! This program is led by a black queer womanist and its themes intersect being woman, black, queer, spiritual, faithful, and sex.
