Scott Crossley

Scott Crossley is a professor of Psychology and Human Development whose research focuses on using data science and artificial intelligence to explore cognition, with an emphasis on natural language processing. Crossley is on the National AI institute of Adult Learning and Online Education (AI-ALOE) executive committee (https://aialoe.org/) and runs the Language and Educational Analytics Research (LEAR) Lab (https://learlab.org/). His current work focuses on the development of intelligent textbooks and natural language processing tools.
 
Crossley recently served as professor of applied linguistics and computer sciences at Georgia State University. He received his Ph.D. in English and linguistics and M.A. in linguistics from the University of Memphis in 2006 and 2002, respectively. He holds a B.A. in history from California State University of Northridge.
