Dr. Bailes’s research interests center around understanding what factors contribute to high-quality caregiving environments and how early parent–child interactions influence children’s social and emotional development. Her program of research integrates developmental psychopathology and family science to better understand the intricate processes that occur within families across the transitions to parenthood and having a new infant.
