Vanderbilt’s Local Government Relations team strives to share the Vanderbilt story effectively with neighbors, elected officials, Metro departments, and other interested community members as we successfully advance our legislative and administrative priorities.
Through our proactive engagement, we seek to expand and strengthen partnerships with local and community leaders to positively impact metro policy. We work to foster relationships with local policymakers on important issues affecting higher education and local governance while serving as Vanderbilt’s voice on legislative and regulatory matters.

Vanderbilt stands to benefit from enhancements along West End Avenue and 21st Avenue that will make it easier for students, faculty and staff to navigate the city without relying on personal vehicles..
