Every spring, Vanderbilt is proud to celebrate outstanding faculty achievement at the Endowed Chair Investiture ceremony. Endowed chairs are the highest honor bestowed upon faculty during their careers and signal peerless achievement in scholarship, research, artistic expression, teaching and service. During this private ceremony, faculty are invested with their endowed chair by the chancellor, provost and dean, followed by a celebratory reception with university leaders, donors, family and invited friends.
