Lane closures planned along 25th Avenue South starting Monday, Jan. 12  

Metro water will conduct work along 25th Avenue South on Vanderbilt’s campus starting Monday, Jan. 12, this work will impact vehicular traffic in the area.

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • Single lane closures along 25th Avenue near Vanderbilt Place.
  • Jan. 12-13 work will occur from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m.
  • Jan. 14 work will occur from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Jan. 15 work will occur from 2:30 – 6:30 p.m.
  • Metro Water will fully restore 25th Avenue South by Wednesday, Jan. 14.
  • Jan. 14-15 work will continue along Vanderbilt Place and may cause brief water outages for nearby buildings. The outages will be approximately 30 minutes.
  • A four-hour water outage is planned for Jan. 15 affecting the Schulman Center and Memorial Gym.
  • Those in the area may experience louder than normal construction noise during the daytime working hours.
  • Access to Student Life Center and Schulman Center will be maintained at all times.

TRAFFIC AND PEDESTRIAN IMPACTS

  • Two-way traffic will always be maintained along 25th Avenue.
  • Flag guards will be present.
  • Temporary signage will be installed to safely direct both vehicular traffic and pedestrians through the work area.
  • Vanderbilt Place in front of the Schulman Center and the Student Life Center Garage will be closed Jan. 15 from 2:30 – 6:30 p.m.
