Facilities Alert Notifications (FAN) is a system to communicate to users’ cell phones (voice or text), landline, and/or Vanderbilt email account in the event of a planned or unplanned utility outage that affects your building or any other buildings you select when you sign up.

Examples of planned outages include but are not limited to:

  • Planned Elevator Maintenance
  • HVAC Outage
  • Water Outage
  • Electrical Outage

Unexpected events may also occur such as a water or electrical outage. The FAN system is designed to alert you as soon as possible and provide further information about the outage.

  • Baker Garage Closed Saturday, Dec. 13 to Sunday, Jan. 4

REMINDERS

  • Construction at Stevenson Center 6 is underway.  
  • Construction at the new Martha Rivers Ingram Residential College, located on the Peabody campus, starts construction on Monday, Dec. 15.  Due to this work, lot 90 is permanently closed.  
  • As part of the Central Neighborhood construction project, Vanderbilt Place remains closed between lot 21 and 24th Avenue South. 24th Avenue South is now open to two-way traffic.  
  • The final paving and painting are complete along 18th Avenue South. Construction continues at the Roberts Academy and Dyslexia Center at Vanderbilt and will welcome students for the 2026-27 academic year.
