TPAC InsideOut

Vanderbilt University joins Tennessee Performing Arts Center for their InsideOut Engagement Events. This series includes enlightening panel discussions and performance excerpts that correspond with current performances from TPAC and their partners: Nashville Opera, Nashville Ballet, and Nashville Repertory Theatre. Through this longstanding institutional partnership, Vanderbilt supports educational programming that brings community members together to engage with the arts.

Food for Thought at Frist Art Museum

Vanderbilt partners with the Frist Art Museum to present the Food for Thought series, offering engaging panel discussions that bring together art, academics and the community. These public panels coincide with the Frist's current exhibitions. By combining Vanderbilt's scholarly expertise with the Frist's creative vision, this collaboration sparks meaningful conversations that extend beyond the museum's walls.

Then and Now: The History of Minority Communities in Nashville

Vanderbilt University and the Nashville Public Library Special Collections maintain a valued partnership, collaborating on programming such as Then and Now: The History of Minority Communities in Nashville. This series delves into the history of various communities that contribute to the rich culture of Nashville.

Blue Ribbon Teacher Awards

Vanderbilt Community Relations partners with the Nashville Public Education Foundation to host the annual Blue Ribbon Teacher Awards celebration. This event honors exceptional Metro Nashville Public Schools educators who excel in teaching with a focus on equity, leadership and instruction. These educators go above and beyond to ensure their students thrive in the classroom daily. Our Community Relations team hosts this event as part of the university's commitment to supporting local education and partnerships across Metro Nashville Public Schools.

The Power in Collaboration

Vanderbilt Community Relations brings together professionals from Nashville’s social impact sector—including leaders from nonprofits, public service offices and Vanderbilt campus partners—for learning, networking and discussions on the opportunities and challenges in collaboration. Acting as both a facilitator and partner, the team organizes programs and conversations that address community needs while connecting local organizations with Vanderbilt's resources and expertise.
