Selected exercise and weight loss programs at Vanderbilt

Health Plus, the Vanderbilt employee health and fitness program, offers a state of the art fitness facility, group exercise classes, wellness coaching, healthy lifestyle programming and  a variety of options for off campus faculty/staff. Health Plus supports individuals working toward getting to a healthy weight by offering a partial reimbursement for both Weight Watchers at Work and the Dayani Adult Weight Management Workshop.  Other opportunities include Fruits and Vegetables: More Matters, which is a 10-week program to help increase consumption of fruits and vegetables, fitness evaluations and exercise prescriptions. Online workouts, recipes, podcasts, and cooking videos are examples of some of the web-based resources available for off campus folks that are striving to attain a healthy lifestyle.

The Vanderbilt Dayani Center is a medical wellness facility. Memberships are discounted for Vanderbilt employees. Exercise facilities, including a swimming pool and indoor track, are available, as are group classes. Among the nutrition helps offered by the Dayani Center are regular weight management workshops (a joint project with Health Plus), get fit individual weight management workshops, and recipe analysis, in which a registered dietitian will analyze a recipe you provide and suggest ways to make it healthier. The Vanderbilt Center for Integrative Health has a number of classes and individual health coaching opportunities.
