Vanderbilt offers exciting summer programs for students from kindergarten through middle school, and high school precollege experiences – with both residential and day program formats available. Whether you’re exploring a brand new interest or digging deeper into a favorite subject, you’ll learn from inspiring instructors, experience our beautiful campus, and make new friends who love learning as much as you do.
Designed and led by faculty and staff from Vanderbilt’s Peabody College of Education and Human Development, these summer programs challenge and inspire advanced learners in rising grades 1–12. Through academically rigorous courses and a selective application process, students dive deeply into subjects they love while discovering their potential among peers who love to learn. Residential and day formats are available.

Vanderbilt collaborates with leading precollege organizations like Summer Discovery and Outset to offer rising 9-12 grade students an immersive, academically rich summer experience. Vanderbilt faculty and staff lead dynamic, hands-on courses on our Nashville campus, giving students a true taste of college life. Managed by Summer Discovery or Outset, students enjoy a supportive summer focused on learning, exploration, and growth.
