Global Health Courses

VIGH provides a variety of courses in global health for undergraduate and graduate students from all Vanderbilt University colleges and schools. While we do not have an undergraduate global health major, check out the Medicine, Health, and Society undergraduate major. This major investigates the cultural, economic, demographic and biological factors that impact health. Some undergraduate courses related to global health will be listed here. The Graduate Certificate in Global Health  is open to all Vanderbilt University degree-seeking graduate and professional students. The interdisciplinary program prepares students for internationally-focused careers in academia, government agencies, non-governmental organizations, immigrant health agencies, philanthropic foundations, and industry.

The Vanderbilt  Master of Public Health (M.P.H.)  program's Global Health track is designed to educate innovative public health leaders to manage global health initiatives and to contribute to public policy that improves global health. Applicants may have a doctoral or other professional degree, or have exceptional qualifications with a bachelor’s degree. The Vanderbilt MPH program is accredited through the  Council on Education for Public Health  (CEPH).
