Student Services Coordinator
Matt Taiman joined the Student Services staff in October 2020. At Vanderbilt, Matt serves as a Student Services Coordinator, where he works with student-athletes to help them achieve their academic and personal goals. Matt is also an active member of the N4A community.
Before joining Vanderbilt, Matt served as an Assistant Academic Coordinator at North Carolina State University for a year and a half. His primary responsibilities were to work with football student-athletes, as well as a variety of Olympic sports. Prior to NCSU, Matt worked as an Assistant Director of Athletic Academic Services at Virginia Military Institute.
At Springfield College, Matt earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Physical and Health Education and Master of Education degree in Athletic Administration. As a graduate student, Matt served for AmeriCorps VISTA, assisting at-risk students at an underprivileged inner-city school in Springfield, MA. Matt was also a Graduate Assistant Coach for the Springfield College men’s basketball team, which included a run to the Division III Final 4.
Born and raised in Willington, CT, Matt currently resides in Nashville, TN. He enjoys spending time with family and friends, music, cooking, traveling, and staying active.
