Why did you choose to attend Vanderbilt?

I chose Vandy because I love the balance it provides between academic, athletic, and personal growth. The community of people I have met at this school has been so incredible at fostering my growth as a person in every part of my life, and to me that type of model is what made Vanderbilt so appealing.

What are your career goals?

I would like to work in sustainability or renewable energy: making cities, companies, or other organizations more environmentally responsible both now and in future generations.

What does it take to be academically successful at Vanderbilt?

I think the most important way to be academically successful at Vandy is to focus on learning the most from class instead of focusing on achieving the highest grade. This is difficult to do, but has helped me feel the most accomplished and do better as a student.

How do you manage your demanding schedule?

I try to make sure to get ahead in my class work any chance I can, and try to tackle my days one at a time.

What is your ritual before taking a test?

Before a test I try to sleep a lot, have a good breakfast, and go in with a positive attitude.

What is your favorite quote?

“Though she may be but little, she is fierce.” – William Shakespeare
