Why did you choose to attend Vanderbilt?

Originally I wanted to stay close to home and go to Stanford, however my parents had an ulterior motive and snuck me on a plane to Vandy. Long story short, I took the chance to experience a new life in the south and compete in the SEC against the best athletes in the country. Also, to compete in the classroom against some of the top students in the country.

What are your career goals?

I intend to pursue a career in the NFL, and one day start my own business in retail. On the side, I hope to continue singing and one day win a Grammy, while having Emmanuel Smith in my entourage.

What does it take to be academically successful at Vanderbilt?

Starve your distractions, and feed your focus.

How do you manage your demanding schedule?

I allocate time to each priority (academic or athletic) evenly, and make sure I complete each task to the best of my ability.

What is your ritual before taking a test?

Study, drink some green tea, chew some green gum and take the test.

What is your favorite quote?

When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and could say, “I used everything you gave me.” -Erma Bombeck
