About Us

Grace Martinez, she/her, Access Specialist (Case Load: Undergraduate Students, Last Names A-F):  Grace educates students on the process for accessing their accommodations, as well as the self-advocacy required in the higher education setting.  She also coordinates the note taker program for students.  Grace is a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University, where she received a B.A. in Foreign Language and Literature and a B.B.A. in Marketing.  Prior to joining Vanderbilt,  Grace served as Administrative Assistant of Disability Services at MTSU supporting faculty, staff, and students with disabilities.

Gabrielle Lewis-Hardwick, she/her, Access Specialist (Case Load: Undergraduate Students, Last Names M-R): Gabrielle educates students on the process for accessing their accommodations, as well as supports these students throughout their academic career, and self-advocacy required in the higher education setting at Vanderbilt University. Gabrielle earned her Bachelor of Arts in History with a minor in Africana Studies and her Master of Arts in Teaching, with a concentration in Special Education, General Curriculum from the University of West Georgia. Prior to joining Vanderbilt, Gabrielle served as an Interrelated Teacher in Atlanta, GA supporting students with intellectual and learning disabilities in the general education classroom.

Becca Bormann, she/her, Access Specialist (Case Load: School of Nursing, School of Medicine, Peabody College):  Becca educates students on the process for accessing their accommodations, as well as supports these students throughout their academic career at Vanderbilt University. Becca earned her Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Belmont University and her Master’s of Education in Higher Education and Student Affairs Administration from the University of South Carolina. Prior to joining Vanderbilt, Becca served as the Graduate Assistant for the Student Disability Resource Center at the University of South Carolina facilitating the accommodation process to provide access and support to students with disabilities, faculty, and staff.

Dan Borrelli, he/him, Access Specialist (Case Load: Undergraduate Students, Last Names G-L): Dan determines accommodations and educates and supports undergraduate students students throughout their time at Vanderbilt. Dan served as the Office Manager at Student Access for two years before starting as an Access Specialist. He earned his B.A. in Communication at Truman State University, and is currently completing a Master of Education in Higher Education Administration through Peabody College. 

Bill Burgess, he/him, Assistive Technology Specialist: Bill started in the field of assistive technologies at the Tennessee Rehabilitation Center working in Vision Impairment Services. From there, he served both staff and students at MTSU, managing the Adaptive Technology Center and assisting in the Faculty Instructional Technology Center. While at MTSU, he earned a Master’s of Education in Curriculum and Instruction. Bill is passionate about finding solutions that fit individuals and is excited to be serving Vanderbilt’s world-class students.

Marlon Moore, he/him, Accessibility Services Coordinator: Marlon Moore is the Accessibility Services Coordinator at Vanderbilt University, where he supports students with adaptive equipment and assistive technology. He earned his B.A. in History from Georgia State University, where he had a focus on disability history and narratives. He also learned American Sign Language (ASL) as his foreign language requirement. Prior to this position, Marlon led initiatives to promote accessibility and inclusion for students with disabilities at Georgia State University. This passion continues to drive his work at Vanderbilt, where he is dedicated to helping students with disabilities achieve academic and post-graduation success.

Latesia Coleman, she/her, Testing Coordinator: Latesia coordinates and manages approved testing accommodations for students with disabilities, communicates with faculty regarding testing policies and procedures and oversees the Testing Center. Latesia holds an M.S. in STEM Education and is currently a doctoral student in Vanderbilt University's Peabody College LPO program. Prior to joining Vanderbilt, she worked as a Library Associate for the Atlanta Fulton Public Library and taught Mathematics and Special Education to secondary students in Florida and Tennessee.

Karen Sun, they/them, Testing Coordinator: Karen coordinates and manages approved testing accommodations for students with disabilities, communicates with faculty regarding testing policies and procedures, and oversees the Testing Center. They graduated from Vanderbilt with a B.S and a B.A in Secondary Education and European History, then again with a M.Ed in Learning, Diversity and Urban Studies. Prior to joining the Student Access team, they taught in Metro Nashville Public Schools as a fifth-grade social studies teacher.

Jamie Bojarski, she/her, Director: Jamie is responsible for ensuring a wide range of support services are provided to students with disabilities at Vanderbilt University. She aims to promote an inclusive community for students with disabilities by providing trainings, workshops, and one-on-one meetings to students, faculty, and staff. Jamie earned a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a Master’s of Education in Postsecondary Administration and Student Affairs from the University of Southern California. She earned her Ph.D. in Educational Research and Policy Analysis from North Carolina State University. Her research interests focus on transitions to college for individuals with disabilities. Prior to joining Vanderbilt, Jamie served as the Assistant Director of the Disability Resource Office at NC State providing access to students with disabilities and working with the campus community to engage in implementing Universal Design of Learning principles.

Sarah Simonovich, she/her, Assistant Director (Case Load: Owen, Divinity, Law, and The Graduate School): Sarah supports the work of the Access Specialist team as Assistant Director. She educates students in the process of accessing accommodations and supports students throughout their time at Vanderbilt. Sarah earned a Bachelor of Science in English Education from The University of Georgia, followed by a Master of Arts in Secondary Education from Piedmont College. Prior to working at Vanderbilt, Sarah worked in K-12 education as a teacher and an administrator, specializing in the areas of secondary English education, Gifted education, and Special education.

Delaney Roos, she/her, Office Manager: Delaney serves as the Office Manager for the Student Access Office at Vanderbilt University, where she is responsible for ensuring the seamless day-to-day operations of the office. In her role, she plays a key part in supporting administrative functions, managing office logistics , and facilitating communication to foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment. Delaney holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism with a minor in Entrepreneurship and Innovation from Pennsylvania State University. Her academic background, paired with her passion for creating efficient systems, allows her to approach challenges with both a strategic mindset and a creative problem-solving approach.
