Reflecting Vanderbilt’s spirit of radical collaboration, the Master of Science in Business and Technology program* unites curriculum from Vanderbilt's Owen Graduate School of Management and Vanderbilt's School of Engineering with an experiential internship/capstone project designed to equip students with highly sought-after skills and knowledge.

    This innovative one-year multidisciplinary program hosted in NYC is a full-time, on-campus degree that begins in the fall and ends with a summer internship.

    Intensive internship/capstone project in the summer after completion of the program’s academic requirements

Curriculum and Internship Breakdown

  • Core Business Curriculum

    As part of the M.S. in Business and Technology degree, students will take 12 credit hours of graduate-level business courses taught by Vanderbilt's Owen Graduate School of Management faculty, including:

    • The Language of Business: Accounting and Finance
    • Organizational Effectiveness: Leadership, Teamwork, and Negotiations
    • Product Management: Operations and Marketing
    • Strategic Management of Technology Corporations and AI Integration
  • Core Engineering Curriculum

    Students will also take 12 credit hours of graduate-level engineering courses taught by faculty from Vanderbilt's School of Engineering, including:

    • Data Analytics & AI
    • Probabilistic Methods in Engineering Design
    • Intellectual Property in Technology and Business
    • Program and Project Management
  • Internship/Capstone Project

    After completing the academic requirements of the Master of Science in Business and Technology program, students will participate in a six-credit summer intensive internship/capstone project. This experiential learning component is a key and unique feature of the M.S. in Business and Technology program that provides students with real-world experience that directly connects them with NY’s thriving tech and innovation ecosystem.
