A Blended Degree Program Taught by Expert Faculty in New York City

Reflecting Vanderbilt’s spirit of radical collaboration, the Master of Science in Business and Technology program unites curriculum from Vanderbilt's Owen Graduate School of Management, Vanderbilt's School of Engineering and draws on emerging coursework from the  College of Connected Computing with an experiential capstone course designed to equip students with highly sought-after skills and knowledge, enabling them to apply their learning in real-world professional settings.

  • How much is the tuition for this program?

    The full tuition for the 30-credit program will be approximately $79,600 for Fall 2027 pending Board of Trust approval in Spring 2027.

  • Are there schlolarships or financial aid avaliable?

    All applicants to the Master of Science in Business and Technology are automatically considered for a range of competitive Vanderbilt University scholarships; no separate scholarship application is required. Scholarship selection and award amounts are based on several factors, including academic readiness, leadership potential, professional experience and the overall strength of the admitted class. Admitted students will be notified of any scholarship award in their MSBT admission letter.

    If you are a domestic student who is planning to fund your education through federal student aid, you should complete the federal aid application while applying for admission to the program. To apply, you will need to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Vanderbilt University’s school code is 003535.

  • Is housing in NYC provided?

    The M.S. in Business and Technology program does not provide dedicated accommodations, and students are expected to arrange housing independently in the NYC area.

    Potential search resources include apartment rental websites, Facebook housing, and sublet groups and personal or university networks. Students should verify listings, confirm lease, or sublet terms, and exercise caution before sharing personal information or sending payment.

  • Are part-time or online options available?

    At this time, the M.S. in Business and Technology is a full-time residential master's program based in New York City.

  • Do I need work experience?

    1-3 years of professional work experience is valued, but not required. Highly accomplished recent graduates in a STEM or quantitative social science major are encouraged to apply.

    Vanderbilt University–New York City is on a beautiful, historic campus in the Chelsea neighborhood that was built in 1817 as an Episcopal seminary (440 W. 21st St., NYC).
