Following permit approvals and concurrence from the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission, Vanderbilt will begin interior and exterior restoration work on its Chelsea campus. The review is scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 9. The initial phase includes exterior repairs and interior renovations to prepare for classes starting in fall 2026. Vanderbilt is committed to preserving this historic campus in a way that reflects the university, the Chelsea Historic District and its faculty and students.
