In this study center program, students immerse themselves in the day-to-day of Italian life and language. Students take coursework at the CET Center in Siena's historic city center. Coursework includes two courses, one in Italian language and the other a choice course. Housing is provided either in an apartment with CET and Italian roommates, or with a local family. One of the most exciting parts of summer in Siena is the Palio, a centuries-old horserace, an event bursting with community and competition. This small town has so much to do, including Italian cafes and restaurants, an open-air market, winding brick alleyways, and the piazza tower.
