In this study center program, students immerse themselves in the day-to-day of Italian life and language. Students take coursework at the CET Center in Siena's historic city center. Coursework includes either one or two semesters of Italian language and one or two electives. Housing is provided either in an apartment with CET and Italian roommates, or with a local family. One of the most exciting parts of summer in Siena is the Palio, a centuries-old horserace, an event bursting with community and competition. This small town has so much to do, including Italian cafes and restaurants, an open-air market, winding brick alleyways, and the piazza tower.
