In this program, facilitated by IFSA-Butler, students enroll directly in the University of New South Wales, known as "Australia's most international campus," and ranked as one of the best universities in Australia. There are thousands of courses available to choose from in a variety of disciplines. Students live in on-campus and off-campus student apartments. While living in Sydney, students experience the diversity and vibrancy that the city has to offer via an excellent public transportation systems. UNSW is within walking distance to some of Sydney's beautiful beaches, like the popular Coogee Beach.

Vanderbilt students are required to participate in this program based on the official program dates listed on IFSA’s website. Students who study abroad at IFSA UNSW during the Spring term must attend the January session starting in early January. Vanderbilt’s policy supersedes IFSA’s guidelines.
