Located less than an hour bus ride from Glasgow and Edinburgh, respectively, the University of Stirling has an arts center that offers excellent performances in drama, film, music and dance. Students live in student flats within easy walking distance of academic, sports and dining areas. Central Scotland is home to Stirling Castle, one of the largest and most historically and architecturally important castles in Scotland. From campus, students can visit both the Highlands and Lowlands, and hike in the Trossachs, a beautiful set of peaks that form the boundary between the two.
