This program provides undergraduate students a unique opportunity to study and live alongside Irish and international students at Trinity College Dublin. Trinity is a world-renowned institution, located in the heart of Dublin’s cultural and retail district (and also home to Ireland’s most famous book, the Book of Kells). Students may study any undergraduate subject offered at Trinity; Vanderbilt students may not, however, take graduate-level coursework. Students will be housed in single, self-catered rooms in the Binary Hub residence near the River Liffey, which has a gym, common room, study space, and laundry facilities. In addition to the rich student life activities available through clubs at Trinity, CASA students will explore Ireland’s cultural heritage through special excursions.

Special Immersive Opportunities

The Idea Translation Lab, an award-winning course, is open to CASA study abroad students (no other study abroad program has access). The Idea Translation Lab is a cutting-edge, cross-disciplinary undergraduate course allows students to explore the modern-day intersection of science and art, and develop solutions to real-life problems, by stimulating the development of entrepreneurial, creative and critical thinking skills through collaborative group projects.

Opportunities for non-credit volunteer work are also available.

Students also have the opportunity to undertake a research project focused on the topic of Historical Memory.

What is CASA?
