Tanya Valli is the Director of Legal Operations at Vanderbilt University, where she plays a critical strategic role in managing the administrative and operational functions of the University’s Office of the General Counsel. She is responsible for implementing and optimizing legal service delivery, comprehensive oversight of departmental workflows, technology implementation, resource allocation, and compliance management that align with the University’s institutional goals.
She is a proven leader with vast experience as a versatile and strategic professional in the field of law, technology, and business dedicated to driving operational excellence. Prior to joining Vanderbilt University’s Office of the General Counsel, Tanya gained valuable knowledge and skill working for law firms and a multinational company in the energy sector, where she evolved and was pivotal in corporate governance, information security, litigation management, enterprise-level management, and strategic leadership.
Tanya received her Legal Studies degree from Chapman University, and is currently pursuing a certificate in Business Management from Vanderbilt’s Owen Graduate School of Management. She has served on a variety of legal industry customer review boards, was invited to speak on multiple eDiscovery and information governance panels, and contributed on several in-house leadership boards including litigation management, law firm partner networks, technology, and professional development committees.
