The Legal Team in the Office of the General Counsel provides legal advice to all Vanderbilt University schools, departments, and divisions. We commit to agile service delivery aligned with the university’s mission and priorities. The Legal Team manages all litigation on behalf of the university. We value both strategic problem solving and anticipating the university’s legal needs.

Notary Public Services

The Office of the General Counsel offers notary services to the university. Please contact MJ Bush or Nancy Short at 615-322-5155 to set up an appointment. Do not sign your document until instructed by the notary. Please bring a legal form of identification.

The Vanderbilt University Office of the General Counsel does not represent the Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC).
