The Enterprise Risk & Compliance Committee (ERCC) is charged with advancing the university’s mission and strategic goals by identifying, evaluating, and responding to enterprise-level risks and opportunities, while accounting for the university’s desired risk posture.
Mission Statement
The mission of the ERCC is to oversee the efforts of the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) program, govern risks managed through this program, and make risk mitigation recommendations to the Chancellor and the Board of Trust.
Membership
The ERCC is made up of each Vice Chancellor and one delegate to represent each of the following areas:
- Academic Affairs
- Athletics
- Division of Administration
- Finance and VUIT
- Communications and Marketing
- Office of the Chancellor
- Office of the General Counsel
- Government and Community Relations
- Investments
- Development and Alumni Relations
- People, Culture and Belonging
- One Faculty Affairs representative
Meeting Cadence
Meetings will be held at least three times per fiscal year, in advance of each VU Board of Trust Audit Committee meeting.
Interim items requiring committee review will be addressed as appropriate.
