When a student who received a Federal Title IV loan while studying at Vanderbilt graduates, withdraws, or drops below half-time status, federal regulations require that the student receive Exit Counseling.
An email will be sent to the graduating students’ Vanderbilt email address providing information about exit counseling. The email will include Department of Education’s link, www.studentloans.gov. This website includes the online Exit Counseling, Loan Repayment Plans and Calculators, Repayment Options and additional loan information. When a student drops below half-time enrollment status or withdraws then an exit counseling packet is mailed.
