Research Experience for High School Students (REHSS)

The Research Experience for High School Students is an intense, 6-week scientific research internship at Vanderbilt University, centering on full immersion in a Vanderbilt University or Vanderbilt University Medical Center research lab. Students engage in an independent research project under the mentorship of a research faculty member at Vanderbilt.

Applicants must be finishing 11th grade and going into 12th grade during summer 2019, and at least 16 years old by May 28. They must be able to commit to full-time participation all six weeks of the program, May 28-July 10, except the July 4 holiday.

Upon admission to the program, the participation fee will be $1500.

Students who do not live within commuting distance of Nashville may apply, but must provide proof of supervised housing.
