Impact Awards

About

Established in 2024, the Impact Awards recognize the contributions of Vanderbilt community members to student career growth. With eleven categories honoring faculty, staff, alums, parents, employer partners, and students, these annual awards celebrate the individuals who play a vital role in the professional development of students.

Selection Process

1. Nominations are open to Vanderbilt undergraduate students that the Career Center serves.

2. A selection committee composed of CAE Student Staff will review nominations and select award recipients.

3. The Career Center will recognize both nominees and award winners.

Types of Awards

  • Rising Star in Career Success Award (Current Undergraduate Student – first-year or sophomore

    This award recognizes a first-year or sophomore student who has demonstrated outstanding initiative and engagement in career development activities, positively impacting their peers and the Vanderbilt community.

  • Career Luminary Award (Current Undergraduate Student – junior or senior)

    This award recognizes a junior or senior student who has demonstrated outstanding initiative, leadership, and engagement in career development activities, positively impacting their peers and the Vanderbilt community.

  • Career Excellence (Student Organization)

    This award recognizes an active student organization that has demonstrated exceptional dedication to career development among its members.

  • Career Catalyst Award (Faculty)

    This award recognizes a faculty member who has demonstrated outstanding commitment to advancing career development initiatives and providing exemplary support and guidance to students in their career journeys.

  • Career Catalyst Award (Staff)

    This award recognizes a Vanderbilt staff member external to the Career Center who has demonstrated outstanding commitment to advancing career development initiatives and providing exemplary support and guidance to students in their career journeys. Career Center staff are not eligible for this award.

  • Champion of Career Empowerment (Alum)

    This award celebrates the achievements of an alumnus who has played a pivotal role in enhancing career empowerment at Vanderbilt through providing educational or philanthropic support, mentorship, or advocacy.

  • Champion of Career Empowerment (Parent)

    This award celebrates the achievements of a parent who has played a pivotal role in enhancing career empowerment at Vanderbilt through providing educational or philanthropic support, mentorship, or advocacy.

  • Excellence in Career Partnerships Award (Employer Partner)
    This award honors an employer partner who has shown exceptional dedication to fostering career opportunities for Vanderbilt students, providing internships, full-time opportunities, or other career-enhancing experiences.
