SOCIAL MEDIA 

The Facilities Department is active on both Instagram and Twitter sharing news about FutureVU, construction projects, FutureVU Sustainability, Facilities Alert Notifications (FAN), Vanderbilt University Real Estate (VURE) and insight as into how the Facilities team manages the maintenance around campus.

HOW TO SUBMIT SOCIAL MEDIA IDEAS

Those wanting to submit social media ideas should send an email to Shelby Pendowski at Shelby.pendowski@vanderbilt.edu with the following information:

  1. A photo or graphic (For Instagram submissions only)
  2. A description including what is happening in the photo, location, and name of any person in the photo.
  3. One to two sentences as to why it should be posted to the Facilities’ social media accounts.

** Please note that just because you submit an idea it does not guarantee that it will be posted to the Facilities social media account.

West End Neighborhood Town Hall (November 2020)

The Facilities team, along with team members from Campus Planning and Construction, host town halls throughout the academic year to highlight and share the latest information about active Capital Projects. The team recently hosted a town hall for students living in the West End Neighborhood and their families.

Construction Summit: Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

The Vanderbilt University Facilities Department, in partnership with Vanderbilt University Procurement Department, hosted an exciting and critically important session – “Construction Summit – Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.”  The purpose of this Summit was to discuss with university suppliers, contractors and professional services firms the importance of diversity, equity and inclusion at Vanderbilt UniversityThis forum reinforced the importance and purpose for Vanderbilt’s commitment of expanding our efforts with Minority and Women Business Enterprises (MWBE), and offer to participants the opportunity to avail themselves of TriState Minority Suppliers Development Council (TSMSDC) and Women Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) resources, as appropriate.
