Legacy Lounge

Overview

The Legacy Lounge serves as a tribute to the first African Americans to attend Vanderbilt University.  Through text, timelines, and visuals, the lounge captures the unique experiences of Black students since the admission of Bishop Joseph Johnson in 1953.  Students will use this space as a hangout spot for lunch and conversations, as well as informal movie screenings. Seating varies with a capacity of about 15 students.  AV support includes 65″ Smart TV with access to several media platforms.
