BCCAC – Kirra Cruise-Streat

KIRRA CRUISE-STREAT | STAFF

Kirra M. Cruise-Streat is the Senior Executive Secretary for Vanderbilt University’s Law School. She is an integral part of the Dean’s administrative team ensuring that students, faculty, and staff are equipped with essential needs to have a successful academic year.

Prior to joining the Law School, Kirra served as a Development Assistant for Vanderbilt’s Corporate and Foundation Relations team. She enjoyed discovering how her role could be instrumental in helping secure campus-wide funding from various foundations and corporations whose mission was focused on building a better world.

Over the course of Kirra’s four and a half years at Vanderbilt, she served on the University Staff Advisory Council representing the Development and Alumni Relations department. Kirra is thrilled to join the Bishop Joseph Johnson Advisory Board and wishes to give back to “The House” that has given her peace, solace, and inspiration over the course of her time at Vanderbilt.

Mrs. Cruise-Streat was born in Illinois and raised primarily in upstate New York. After completion of high school, Kirra went on to further her education to earn a B.S. Degree in Accounting and Business Administration from Delaware State University. While attending college, she became a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

Kirra is married with two daughters whom she loves with her whole heart. She enjoys traveling, reading, roller skating, biking, gardening, camping, photography, and serving others through her ministry of giving.
