A consistant player, Wilpers has played herself into a mainstay
at the right flank position. She is a valuable member of the
Vanderbilt offense with her strong crossing and passing ability.
A good one-on-one defender, she also can assist in the defensive
end of the field. Look for her to provide steady play at right
midfield again this year.
As A Sophomore (2001): Started all 17 games at the
right midfield position, one of four players to start every
game...Her one goal of the season was the game-winner vs.
Alabama, her first career game-winning goal...Sixth on the
team with 12 shots
As A Freshman (2000): The team's first option off
the bench...First on the team with four assists and seventh
with eight points and two goals...Notched two assists in first
collegiate game versus Tulane...Assisted on the game-winning
goal against Memphis...Saw action in all 21 games, starting
five games overall and one SEC match.
High School/Club: Had 14 goals and 11 assists in her
senior year, helping her high school win the state championships
in 2000...Also won the state title in 1999...Captain of high
school's 2000 squad...High school team won the Jekyll Island
Tournament...Team's leading scorer in 1999...Named MVP in
1998 and 1999...Named to Marietta Daily Journal's All-County
team all four years of play...Played on the 1998 and 2000
Regional Champion team...Club team won the state championships
from 1997 to 1999...Played on the ODP Peace Cup team that
