Vanderbilt Women's Golf Team at the Lady Gamecock Classic 3/13/03

The #6 Vanderbilt women's golf team will compete in the Lady Gamecock Classic Friday-Sunday (March 14-16) hosted by the University of South Carolina. The 54-hole tournament will be played at the University Club (5,996 yards - Par 72). Tee times are scheduled for 8 am each day.

The tournament field consists of 15 teams, including 10 ranked in the latest GolfWeek Ratings. Joining Vanderbilt and host South Carolina (#19) are top-ranked Duke, Alabama, Auburn (8), Furman (23), Florida State, LSU, New Mexico (12), New Mexico State, Purdue (21), Texas A&M, Texas (9), North Carolina (20) and Wake Forest (22).

Duke is the five-time defending team tournament champion, while the Blue Devil's Nera Aazam-Zanganeh captured the medalists honors last season in a playoff over South Carolina's Kristy McPherson.
