Brian Thornton Transferring 5/10/03

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Vanderbilt head coach Kevin Stallings announced today that sophomore forward Brian Thornton has decided to transfer from Vanderbilt University.

"We appreciate the effort Brian provided in the two years he was here," Stallings said. "We wish him the best of luck in the future."

In 29 games this past season, Thornton averaged 11.5 points and 5.7 rebounds. In two years as a Commodore, Thornton averaged 9.2 points and 5.1 rebounds in 20.6 minutes per game.
