VU Lacrosse Signs
Fifth April 10, 1997Nashville -- The Vanderbilt Commodore women's lacrosse team signed its fifth recruit for the 1998 season in Lindsay Shea from Greenwich, Conn. A first-team All-American at Greenwich Academy, Lindsay led her team as a junior in 1996 with 65 goals and 23 assists. She is a 2-time All-League selection in Connecticut. Her team, Greenwich Academy, has won 13 straight Western Connecticut league titles. Greenwich went 18-1-1 in 1996 and is currently the #2 ranked team in western New England. "Lindsay possesses excellent midfield speed. Her excellent fundamental defensive skills make her a threat on defense as well as offense," says Vanderbilt coach Wendy Stevens. "We are thrilled to attract such a complete all-around player."
