Vanderbilt Baseball 2003 Season Ticket Packages Available 1/8/03

Season ticket packages for Vanderbilt baseball’s 29-game schedule at Hawkins Field are now available. The Vanderbilt ticket office has ticket packages for only $65. Discount season ticket plans are available for Vanderbilt faculty and staff ($33) and youth and senior citizens ($30). A mini package is also available tabbed “you make the call.” It allows baseball fans to pick any 10 home games on the schedule for $30. The 2003 Commodore home schedule features 18 games against teams that appeared in either the 2001 or 2002 NCAA Tournament. Marquee Southeastern Conference series include three-game sets against LSU and Auburn, ranked No. 9 and No. 21, respectively, in the 2003 Baseball America preseason poll.

The 2003 home schedule starts with a season-long nine-game homestand, beginning Feb. 18 against East Tennessee State. The homestand concludes with the second annual Music City Classic, Feb. 28-March 2. Opponents include Rutgers, Kent State and Kansas.

Other non-conference foes visiting Hawkins Field include Cincinnati (Feb. 21-23), Belmont (Feb. 26), Lipscomb (March 11 and 19), Western Kentucky (April 1), Austin Peay (April 22), and Middle Tennessee (May 13).

Showdowns against conference competition include three-game series against Mississippi (March 21-23), Florida (April 4-6), LSU (April 18-20), Auburn (April 25-27) and Tennessee (May 16-18).
