Overview

The Day Lab engages in research on quantum materials using advanced optoelectronic and spectroscopic techniques. We are particularly interested in fundamental studies of light–matter interactions and the optical and electronic properties of emergent quantum systems. Current research thrusts include the use of ultrafast and coherent optical methods to probe nonequilibrium dynamics in quantum materials, development of optoelectronic platforms for controlling and measuring quantum states, and integration of novel materials and device architectures for future quantum and photonic technologies.
