Mario Ojeda Cuello

Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering

Overview

Mario is a PhD student in the Department of Chemical Engineering and works in the Silvera lab, where his research focuses on colloidal electrokinetics. He studies the behavior of metallodielectric particles under electric fields and explores their unique interactions and potential applications. With a strong passion for nanoscience and device fabrication, Mario is a frequent user of the VINSE facilities, where he utilizes various fabrication techniques to develop his devices. Before graduate school, Mario was a middle school science teacher, where he cultivated his love for sharing knowledge and inspiring the next generation of scientists. Now, he is excited to contributing to the "Cleanroom Microfluidics" program as part of NanoGuides and help others explore the fascinating world of microscale fluid dynamics and device fabrication.
