Overview
Chris Boyd is a graduate student in the mechanical engineering department performing research in the Valentine Lab. Her research investigates the integration of metasurfaces with standard and neuromorphic imaging systems, aiming to enable faster and more functional computer vision in dynamic, high-complexity environments.
Chris is deeply passionate about nanoscience and fabrication, and she has joined NanoGuides with the hope of inspiring others to share in her enthusiasm. Chris is an avid user in VINSE, utilizing various tools in the facility. She also has previous experience working in a national laboratory, where much of her time was spent in the cleanroom and loves to tell her multitude of ‘fab gone wrong’ stories. As part of the NanoGuides, Chris will be aiding in the “Forensics in the Analytical Lab” and “Microfluidics” programming.
