Celebrating 25 Years of NanoDay with a Special Edition Shirt

This year’s 25th NanoDay marks a milestone in VINSE’s history and we’re celebrating with a special commemorative T-shirt designed by Sarah Ross and Owen Meilander, recipients of the 2025 NanoDay tshirt design award and $300 cash prize.

The design honors the entire VINSE community, featuring the names of 2,309 individuals who have been part of VINSE over the past 25 years. Printed in a marathon-style layout, the back of the shirt forms a bold “25,” symbolizing the 25th NanoDay. a tradition that has grown alongside the evolution of nanoscale science and engineering at Vanderbilt.

The front design showcases the VINSE logo framed within a pattern inspired by nanoscale structures, connecting the spirit of science and design that defines our community.

Everyone who attended the 25th NanoDay celebration received one of these commemorative shirts. Members of the VINSE community who are interested in getting a shirt can contact the VINSE Business Office for more information.

As we celebrate 25 years of NanoDay, this shirt serves as both a tribute to VINSE’s history and a reminder of the thousands of researchers, students, and staff who have shaped its impact at Vanderbilt and beyond.
