Meet the Newest Members of the NanoGuides Team

VINSE is excited to welcome Sarah Saleh, Andrew Steiner, and He Zhuo as the newest members of the NanoGuides program. NanoGuides are graduate student ambassadors who lead tours, assist with outreach activities, and share nanoscale science with students and visitors across campus. With these additions, VINSE has 44 NanoGuides representing departments across science and engineering.

Sarah Saleh is a second-year graduate student in chemistry working with Dr. David Cliffel. Her research focuses on using Photosystem I and metal electrodes to reduce atmospheric carbon dioxide. She enjoys teaching and inspiring others to explore science. Sarah earned a B.S. in biochemistry from Northeastern State University and an A.S. from Tulsa Community College.

Andrew Steiner is a Ph.D. student in the Interdisciplinary Materials Science program. His interests include nanoscale chemistry, battery science, electrodeposition, and optical materials. As a VINSE teaching assistant, he leads undergraduates in cleanroom labs and helps them understand the fundamentals of nanoscale fabrication. Andrew holds a B.S. in materials science and engineering from the University of Florida.

He Zhuo is a second-year graduate student in chemistry working in Dr. Janet Macdonald’s group. His research focuses on the synthesis and phase control of metal chalcogenide nanoparticles. He joined NanoGuides to share his curiosity and enthusiasm for nanoscale science. He earned a B.A. in chemistry from Franklin & Marshall College.

Together, Sarah, Andrew, and He bring energy and expertise to VINSE’s outreach mission, helping inspire the next generation of scientists and engineers.
